　Michael Vartan has a Labrador retriever, to thank him for his recent girlfriend Lauren Skaar - more or less.

"She has a dog who fell in love with my dog," joked the former E! "Alias" actor News. "It's the only reason I moved!"

Vartan has also confirmed that Skaar met in the parking lot of Whole Foods.

"We are, in effect," the actor, who has been linked romantically to Ben Affleck Garner wife, Jennifer, E! adding that he was Skaar. "I think it's better than a bar or nightclub."

How long before the big day? "Ten years," laughed Vartan. "No, just kidding. There are no rules. Let's play by ear, but even a year. Enjoy participation, and then see what happens."

Vartan starred in "Hawthorne" with Jada Pinkett Smith in TNT and played smash Drew Barrymore in 1999, "Never Been Kissed." Be the first marriage for both Vartan and Skaar.
